The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced an update to the Harmonized System (HS) Codes for various products. This update will be implemented on the Saber Platform within 30 days from the notification date of July 24, 2025, with the new HS Codes becoming subject to technical regulations on August 23, 2025.

All stakeholders are advised to review the updated HS Code and ensure compliance with the new standards by the implementation date.

This update reflects SASO's ongoing efforts to enhance regulatory practices and streamline trade processes. The revised HS Codes aim to improve product classification accuracy, minimize ambiguity, and facilitate smoother trade operations. Additionally, these changes support enhanced conformity assessments to ensure products entering the Saudi market adhere to established safety and quality standards.
